 The rose has always been a symbol of love. The ancient Greeks and Romans associated the rose with their goddesses of love and beauty. Today, roses are still venerated in many countries as religious, ethnic, national, cultural, political and even sports symbols. The rose is the national flower of England and provincial of Yorkshire and Lancashire.

 The rose family contains over a hundred various species cultivated for their beauty, fragrance and colour. For centuries, roses have been captivating people with their magnificence, splendour and majesty. On the other hand, it is difficult to imagine a more intimate gift than a humble bouquet of red or white roses. A bunch of red roses is almost universally used to show passionate love.  Traditionally, red and pink roses are flowers of Valentine’s Day and white or yellow of weddings and religious celebrations.
